Gold Coast, AUSTRALIA (PRWEB)
May 11, 2007 -- IMI Trust -
www.imitrust.com - a leader at supplying
essential business solutions to Financial Groups
and Technology Companies, announces today that
it has expanded its service offerings to include
facilitating equity capital raising for SMEs in
Australia.
The Gold Coast based company
has identified this service as critical for
business owners looking to accelerate their
business. "Most Australian businesses are
traditional, in the sense that they look to fund
business growth, through their own cashflow,
rather than exploring opportunities for external
funding. This makes the acceleration of growth
very difficult," says Steve Torso, Managing
Director heading up the Capital Raising division
of IMI Trust. "This places downward pressure on
company resources, slowing the organic growth
and prevents companies from capitalising on
emerging market opportunities."

underpin its existing web, marketing and systems
base to further provide a holistic service for
entrepreneurial business owners. A typical
company that fits this model would be a start-up
enterprise or a small-to-medium sized entity
looking for expansion capital. "Equity capital
raising offerings will typically be between
$250,000 & $5m," continued Torso. "We are
benchmarking approximately $20m of raisings as a
starting point for this service, due to the
strong interest from companies we are already in
discussions with."
The intellectual property
behind the equity capital raising has been
provided to IMI Trust by the Australian Small
Scale Offerings Board (ASSOB). ASSOB has been
developing its proprietary capital raising
process for over 20 years in Australia, and is a
market leader in this field. "We created an
alignment with ASSOB as their capital raising
process is both investor friendly and business
owner friendly," said Torso.
